Country homes with upstairs bedrooms
Ruskin still feels like old Florida in the best way — acreage, farmhouses, family compounds where the grandparents' house sits near the kids' house. Many of those homes are two-story farmhouses or raised Florida homes where the bedrooms are upstairs and have been for generations. When the stairs get hard, the options feel stark: leave the family land, or solve the stairs. We solve the stairs.
Rural staircases are often straightforward for stairlifts: straight runs, generous width, solid wood treads. Installation is quick and the lift tucks against the wall when folded. For raised homes with exterior entry stairs, our outdoor units handle the weather.
Manufactured and mobile homes
A Ruskin-specific note: many residents live in manufactured homes, and we get asked whether stairlifts work in them. The honest answer is: it depends on the stairs. If your manufactured home has a solid, site-built stairway with proper treads — many do, especially with added porches and entries — a lift can usually be fitted. Flimsy add-on steps or narrow manufactured stair units may not qualify. We assess in person and tell you straight; there is no charge for finding out.
